Looking to get a rear sway bar for my cavy. It should help with autoX. I'm looking at the addco 25.4mm (1inch) bar. any thoughts?

Unless you plan to upgrade the front sway bar also, i'd get the smallest rear sway bar you can find.

You have an 18mm front bar, if you go to much more then a 22mm rear bar the car will be very twitchy. The only way to combat that would be with adjustable struts, but then you are back where you started.
Go for a ride in Chad's Car he has the 22mm front and rear bar with adjustable struts and it is pretty close to dialed in. |

Perfect example of a small front bar and a larger rear bar. |

What are you doing to counteract the fact you only have a an 18mm front bar?

just get polyurethane bushings for the front sway bar, and call it good.

You car is going to have an oversteer bias which when racing is okay, in snow is bad. And I also said if you have the larger front bar, which you get on the LS Sport, not the base model you have. Chad has an LS has the 22mm front bar, and now has 22 mm rear bar as well. Edited by marchi1 - 22 September 2007 at 1:29am |

Chad's new car has the 24mm front bar stock if I'm not mistaken. Unless you're referring to ole' blue.
Either way poly endlinks on the stock front did wonders on my 22mm, with the 25.4 Addco rear. Now I have the Eibach front/Addco rear. |

I'll definately "trust you".
Just commenting that it's strange to me as Jame's identical '03 LS Sport came with a 24mm front. So maybe you could shine some true light on the subject for me. |
