Ok, Jon is definitely the winner. I just got off the phone with him after he took 10 minutes to explain his two hour adventure into prying through my internet life. lol.

The car is a 2006 Volvo S60R with the following specs:

Inline 5 cylinder turbocharged engine with 300hp at 5500rpm and 295 ft/lbs of torque at only 1950rpm!!

6-speed Aisin TF-80SC automatic transmission (used in a bunch of other Ford products as well as some Opel offerings as well)

Haldex 3rd gen all wheel drive system. Same system used across Audi and VW's line of AWD vehicles. (Jon, I misspoke over the phone. It's not the same as the WRX. Don't know what forum garbage I got that from.)

Magnetically dampened strut system. This is by far the coolest part of the car. There's a set of buttons on the dash that change the car from "boat" mode to "I can feel each road crack with my teeth" mode. The system kinda works like that in the C5 50th Corvette where you apply voltage to an electromagnet and the slurry oil mixture in the strut firms up. Cool stuff. The only bad part is replacing a strut is an ungodly amount of money ($1000 each)....if you don't know where to look. I found a reliable OEM supplier that sells them for $320 a pop, which isn't terrible (roughly the same price I've going on with the Koni's on the Camaro).

I'm really excited about getting this car. I was doing research on these back when I bought the Saab 9-3 off of eBay. The problem then was the car was double the price I currently paid for the car.

The only mod plans I have currently are to do a little work on the exhaust. One of the stupid issues with the car is that the stock resonator will rub on the driveshaft which can ultimately wreck it if you let it go too long. To remedy the problem, you ditch the resonator by either chopping it off or replacing the entire downpipe. I plan on replacing the downpipe. OBX makes a decent stainless steel 3" one that's $150 compared to OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS from the crazy Volvo tuner companies. Ridiculous. While I'm at it, I might as well do the exhaust too, but we'll see. It's super simple on this car. From the downpipe, it's a straight shot 3/4 of the way to the back of the car. Then it turns 45 degrees to the driver's side and then 45 degrees back. It would take me an hour to make an exhaust for this car.

I'm debating on which car to show up to the meeting in (this or the Camaro).

Maybe I'll bring both!

Oh and two more things. Here's a video of Tiff showing off the car (Watch around the 2 minute mark for a sweet demo of the active suspension):

YaRRRRRRRRR!!!!

It made it home in one piece without a single hiccup. The only real issue the car has is that there's either a bent rim or a bad wheel bearing that's causing a slight vibration at high speed. Not a huge deal and I'm sure I'll figure it out pretty quickly.
